In a cove on Salrose, the mergoats live out their lives. The shallower water provides protection from any waves on the moon. Between the sandbank and the shore, colonies of fish feed on the minerals. The mergoats visit this area frequently to feed. Farther up the cove, the mergoats have their residential area. They use underwater hills and craters to provide extra shelter for homes. Deeper into the cove is a social gathering area where they can comfortably planet-bathe.
